Thomas P. Gill, Jr. was born and raised in Long Island, NY. He moved to Florida in 1980 to attend college and chose to make Florida his permanent home. He graduated from USF and the Stetson College of Law (Cum Laude) and has been practicing law since 1988. While in law school he was awarded numerous honors, including being named a Dana Scholar and was also appointed as a teaching fellow for research and writing I and II. He was Assistant Editor of the Stetson Law Quarterly and participated in the civil clinic, in which he provided legal services to the poor.

Upon graduating law school, Tom began his career at the Law Firm of Shackleford, Farrior, Stallings, and Evans. He continued his career with The Law Firm of Dykema, Gosset, which was the nation’s third largest law firm at the time. In 1991, Tom opened his own law firm in Brandon, Florida. He was determined to offer a full service law firm that delivered personal and compassionate service to his clients. Tom personally returns every phone message he receives from a client.
He has had the honor and privilege of serving with several organizations dedicated to helping the homeless, needy, and people in crisis, including the Emergency Care Help Organization (ECHO) in which he is on the Board of Directors and served as a past president of the board. In addition, he represents ECHO on the Board of Directors of the Greater Brandon Ecumenical Ministries Inc., which operates the I Am Hope Café and the Eastern Hillsborough County Cold Weather Shelter. He has also served in various capacities on numerous other organizations.

Tom and his wife Lisa raised their sons, Thomas III and Alex, in the Brandon area. When he is not helping clients, Tom loves spending time with his family and friends, boating, enjoying various sporting activities and traveling the world.
